London [Apr. 7th, 2006|12:36 pm]

We met a couple German guys and a few guys from LA the other night in our hostel.
We decided to go to SoHo to check out the nightlife, so we recruited a local as our guide.

Although we had a strangly fun and interesting night, I won't go into detail except a little dialog outside of a club we did not go into.

We were initally turned away because they didn't see Ramona and wouldn't let "a group full of geizers in wifout a lady". Once they noticed her they said we could come in. They said it would be free because it was late (aproaching 2:30). Once we got in someone started harassing us for 12 pounds each. (about $24 each)

Laughing, we decided to leave.

They door man started shouting at us. He called us Bin Laden and Sadam. He asked us "how does it feel to be terrorists?" and "didn't we know we'd lose?". Thankfully one of the guys from LA had the perfect response for the confused door man.

"12 pounds? I have 12 balls for your mouth!"

When in Rome... [Feb. 1st, 2006|07:30 pm]

Roma!

By far, the the most interesting place we've been.
We are staying in an apartment a couple blocks away from The Colosseum and right above "STREAP TEASE \ LAP DANSE!"

The people are good, the food is great. Today we tried grape liquor. Smells gross, tastes great!

Some Gypsies tried to pick-pocket us using a piece of cardboard as diversion. Imagine gypsies pick-pocketing you.

Jealous?
Yes!

I haven't found a place with wireless yet (good for Itally banning Starbucks), but as soon as i do,
pictures follow.

[music |greek remixes of american pop]

We've been in Greece just over a week. We're waiting for a bus, but i promise to post hundreds if not thousands of pictures as soon as I have a second.

We are staying in Colivia, a village about an hour out of Athens.

I can now:

-Count to twenty in Greek
-Buy cigarettes without embarassment
-Derobe 5 layers of clothing in less than 3 minutes
-Barely stomache ouzo
-Smoke inside
-Play endless games of Sorry!

I still can not:

-Find my blog
-Upload video from my camera
-Sleep
-Stop laughing

I've got to catch my bus now, but I will find my blog and upload pictures and give more details later.

Some things to consider [Sep. 28th, 2005|04:07 pm]

*Wolf Parade- very very very good. It has a couple catchy songs, and then a few that take some time to get to used to. Very suitable for driving a car, walking long distances, or finishing up your "sound track of my life" mix. Did I mention they are formed by members of Arcade Fire and Frog Eyes?

*MPFreak- Usefull os X application that finds lyrics, album art, track list, etc., for every song in youryour iTunes library. This tool is saving me butt loads of time.

*iScroll- Holy Crap! Finally a double finger scroll option for us pre-2005 power/ibook users.

*iFart- Yet an other usless time wasting app! Change the pitch for a wide variety of whiny to deep fart action!

*Devendra Banharts Crippled Crow is now my Favorite CD.

*Deerhoofs new Runners Four is probably second.

*Franz Ferdinands new one downloading. . . now. . . .

-The Silver Jews' "Tanglewood Numbers" is a lot better than I expected it to be. I would even say it's not a let down in any way. <3

-Coco Rosie's "Noah's Arc" is growing on me like never expected.

John Stewart is still a very funny man.

Anyone read A Man Without a Country yet?
Let me know.

BALLS [Sep. 20th, 2005|11:22 am]

+Iron and Wine/ Calexico- In the Reins---- Exceptional.
+Devendra Banhart- Cripple Crow----- perfect follow up to iron and wine
+Oxes - Oxes ep---- I will be forcing this on to anyone who will listen.
+Coco Rosie- Noah's Arc----- Not very good, but not a surprise considering I only liked a couple tracks from her last cd.

+ The euro is WAY down. 82 cents to the American dollar! Good news for now.

+ Saw MIA -- BLEh

Missed Trail of Dead.
Wont miss Against Me!, Built To Spill, Iron and Wine/Calexico, Dungeon, and saturday-sunday ACL.

Lock.
